KITCHEN MANAGER

Sandlewood Manor and Chateau Nouvelle are seeking a responsible and professional Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen spaces during events with outside caterers. This role is essential to protecting venue assets and ensuring all kitchen standards are upheld.

JOB DESCRIPTION:​

​The Kitchen Manager serves as the venue’s on-site kitchen representative during events with outside catering. This position requires trustworthiness, professionalism, and the ability to calmly and confidently enforce venue expectations while maintaining positive working relationships.

​

RESPONSIBILITIES:​

  • Oversee kitchen activity during events with outside caterers.​

  • Ensure venue property, equipment, and spaces are respected and maintained.

  • Remain present in the kitchen for the duration of the event.

  • Communicate concerns, issues, or violations to venue management as needed.

  • Confirm the kitchen is left clean and in proper condition at the conclusion of the event.

REQUIREMENTS:​​

  • High level of trustworthiness and accountability.

  • Professional, calm, and confident demeanor.

  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

  • Ability to remain attentive during long or slower periods.

  • Prior kitchen, catering, or event experience preferred but not required.

 

PART-TIME CONTRACT POSITION:​

  • Evenings and weekends based on event schedule​

  • Must remain on-site for the duration of the event

  • Pay Rate: $25/hour
